There are a few misnomers about the Bengals this year and the lead up to this game...
1. Dalton's big day... He threw for 252 mostly down two scores after a paltry 121 for almost 3 quarters out of the shotgun. He threw 3 picks. Three long plays beat the Ravens (Caldwell TD, Leonard 37 yds, Simpson deep to 7). I doubt the Ravens sit back and let that happen again. Futher, I think they did not expect him to go deep.
2. The Bengals 'sell-out'. They are a better road team (5-2 vs. teams from outside Baltimore) and 4-3 at home. Guessing there will be a loud OHHH! during the anthem for Lardarius to hear.
Futher...
Bengals have not beaten a winning team, even losing to Pre-Tebow Broncos and a 3rd string Houston QB.
Torrey Smith (45-808-7) is having a bigger year than Ravens pain in the butt, Jerome Simspon (45-671-4). Plus, Simpson looks like Todd Bridges.
Gresham (51-524-6) is a rich man's Ed Dickson (53-508-5).
Dalton sucks in the clutch (4th quarter close) 1 TD-4 INT, 51%, 54 RTG.
Dalton is amazing... in garbage time (down 15+) 6 TD-1 INT, 67%,134 RTG, bringing his season totals down to a pedestrian 14 TD- 12 INT 2500 yds.
So... For the Ravens...
1. Get up early, stay ahead.
2. Pick up the tempo, quick hits, shotgun.
3. Get to Dalton.
4. Control the ball.
5. No big plays against.
